In 2005, Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche and several of his students from Europe and North American sponsored a group of 50 women from Pema Choling Institute to go on pilgrimage to the holy Buddhist sites of India. The pilgrimage was a rare and exciting opportunity for both the students from Bhutan and the western students who traveled with them.
